It's true what they say... No one man can win a championship alone!! I mean, Jordan didn't do it by himself. Neither did LeBron James. Or Tom Brady. It took the cooperation of thee entire team fulfilling their role and playing their part in order for that success to manifest. The music industry is no different. You may only see one artist on stage accepting that Grammy Award, but in order for that artist to have the songs they had TO GET that Grammy, it took hard work and dedication from a number of people that believed in the same dream and stood firm with their team.

BUT THIS IS HOW A PERSON CAN LOSE EVERYTHING BUT GAIN THE WORLD IN RETURN  ...

A year ago, around this same time, rap artist and C.E.O A-1 Thee Assas'n was sitting in prison serving a five year sentence for his conviction of drug distribution in the state of Kansas. But this time behind bars cost him more than his freedom. His "friends" abandon him, his romantic relationship evaporated, and worse yet, his music career suffered a devastating blow as his name faded into the darkness while new hip-hop artist occupied the space he once ruled. His fans all but forgot about him. His website was closed down due to non-payment. A few of his albums were taken down from streaming services by his distribution company DistroKid (also due to non-payment), and he fell into a deep depression as thoughts of his career being completely ruined overtook his mind.

Once A-1 was released he set about working on rebuilding the empire he'd lost. But it took a lifetime to get where he was.... did he really want to start over from scratch? With nothing? After the decision was made to again dedicate his life to his music career, he vowed to never again allow his dreams to be ripped from him by the government throwing him back in prison - and with that promise, he was out the drug business. For good!!!

Fast forward to the present day and he hasn't even been out a full year but the progress he has made in his music career is absolutely phenomenal!!! Not only does he have a new, bigger and better website, he also now has several clothing companies that he operates, multiple online stores that sell everything from music to custom clothing and shoes to household items. And his career as an artist seen some upgrades as well. With future releases that feature humongous names like Snoop, Rick Ross, Jadakiss, John Legend and 2 Chainz just to name a few, he has solidified his place in the industry, and now can finally see that the success he's worked so hard for over the past two decades is finally coming his way.

A-1 Thee Assas'n - THE BAD GUY

After several months of recording and preparation, A-1 Thee Assas'n has announced that the highly anticipated album "THE BAD GUY" is finally finished and being prepared for release !!!

His previous release of the HALF ANGEL EP in July of 2023 was an excellent 6 song project that left the hip-hop community at the edge of their seats and begging for more. With his lead single "LETHAL" featuring Cam'ron & OG Eddie MF Kane he went about slaughtering the competition with his award-winning lyrical talents and only one week after its release, the HALF ANGEL EP was declared the hottest album of the summer... Yes, an EP was crowned the hottest ALBUM of the summer!!!

And now, just a few months later, THE BAD GUY is nearing completion and is rumored to include production from super producers like Legion Beats, Dotcom, Anno Domini Nation, SK Beats, BlessDaTrack, and even A-1 Thee Assas'n himself under his production moniker of A1DidThaT. Not only that but the album also features guest appearances from multi-platinum artists such as Juicy J, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Jadakiss, Dizzy Wright, Sean Kingston, and a bunch more!!! PLUS support from his BHM Henchmen OG Eddie MF Kane, XiX, and GI Ginn who each appear on one or more of the FOURTEEN separate singles scheduled to be released in light of this album. Other guest artists like Breana Marin, who provided her hypnotic vocals to one of the songs on the project, and the ultra talented midwest lyricist named Strange Poet, whom also contributed his songwriting skills to this masterpiece on not one but TWO singles from the album, as well as Kongo Madstak, are but a fraction of a percent of the underground artist that are behind A-1 Thee Assas'n and cheering for his album's success in the mainstream circuit.

Though almost ten years ago A-1 Thee Assas'n acquired a distribution deal through Universal via TEMG, he now opts to allow his records to be released through smaller companies like Revel Distribution,  CDBaby or DistroKid. But who can honestly say they don't still dream of being a big superstar with a humongous record label behind them driving their success forward?!!? A-1 admits that it would be a dream come true to sign a recording contract with one of the top three companies in the music industry (Universal, Sony, or Warner) but it would all be determined by the worth of the offer and the terms of the agreement they bring to him - because he's already turned down several lucrative deals because of the shitty terms attached with them, and will continue to reject contracts from ANY COMPANY until a favorable agreement can be negotiated. In the meanwhile, he and his conglomerate of business associates instead take the independent route and release music under the BHM Entertainment banner as the record label and work with independent distributors to get their releases circulated by streaming services. 

But the muscle behind THE BAD GUY album is nothing short of a small army of music industry professionals. Management executive John Salter of J. Salt Music Group is the personal artist manager for A-1 Thee Assas'n and has been for over a decade now. Other star artist his company represents include hit songwriter Markee, and the R&B sensation Mooski, who has amassed hundreds of millions of views and streams across the internet and is now signed with Capitol Records. A-1 also has the expertise of Octavious Miller to fall back on. Miller is the owner and operator of Next Level Promotions WCHHA, LLC and the brother of the late west coast hip-hop legend Seagram, who was signed with Rap-A-Lot Records, as well as Virgin Records and Priority Records, all of whom were industry giants at that time. The knowledge and experience that Mr. Miller brings to the table is immeasurable and his place as A-1's primary Business Consultant is well deserved as his authority is well respected. Paper Hound Entertainment's C.E.O Tiksta is another driving force behind this mega machine. Tiksta has been credited with being one of the first to believe in the talents that A-1 possessed, even back when A-1 was... we'll just say... a handful to work with. Tik stayed the course and stood behind the young artist known as A-1 Thee Assas'n, who is now the owner and C.E.O. of a underground conglomerate of a company that houses multiple clothing brands, three record labels, management services, graphic designing, audio engineering, fashion designing, and more.   

With all this firepower at A-1's disposal, he's aiming to explode onto the mainstream scene with his signature sound and finally place himself and his company, Black Heart Music Entertainment, in the upper echelon of this musical "secret society" alongside other Hip-Hop royalty. And this new album THE BAD GUY just might be his ticket to that mainstream paradise.
